Family Fun for Summer

Posted on July 6, 2012

Fourth of July has passed and now it is officially the halfway point of summer break. With only a month left before the kiddos return to school, have you done all you set out to do this summer? If not, here are some great websites with events and activities to enjoy.

Are you a Macaroni Kid? This site lists events, news, and more. You can customize to your area or even search for fun stuff to do when you are in another city.

Nickelodeon’s parenting website is customized for major cities. It includes events in your area, fun activities, and resources for parents.

Love Home Depot and Lowe’s? Have you always wanted to do projects with your kids? Lowe’s and Home Depot both offer free workshops. Home Depot hosts kids workshop on the first Saturday of every month. Lowe’s Build and Grow is every other Saturday, find dates HERE

Many cities have special passes for those wanting to vacation, or even locals who want to “staycation”. City Passes include many of the city’s attractions at a fraction of the cost. Check out City Pass to see if your city, or one you are traveling to, is listed.

Want to beat the heat by staying inside? Pinterest offers lots of creative ideas for indoor projects and fun.
